Hippopotamus and friend in the Mara River, Serengeti N.P.
| We saw the migration of wildebeest crossing the Mara River, including a crocodile attack that took one of the herd. Later, along the bank of the Mara, we came across this sight. There are few creatures brave enough to settle down and sleep beside a huge crocodile. This hippos is one such animal. |
