18. Ram headed Sphinxes at Karnak
| Amun, the chief deity of Thebe ( which includes the modern Luxor and Karnak) was sometimes depicted as a ram. Karnak temple was connected to the Nile by a canal, which was flanked by two rows of ram headed sphinxes representing Amun. |
