20. Bagnoregio
| Bagnoregio was an Etruscan settlement built on a plateau about 2,500 years ago. Over centuries, the layers of clay on which the hill rests have eroded and slipped downwards, leaving Bagnoregio isolated from the plateau. Today, its six remaining residents are served by a long pedestrian bridge. |
