Port Douglas 2019


These photos were taken in October 2019 during a short visit to Port Douglas, which is on the coast beside the Great Barrier Reef in North Queensland.

The trip was mainly to give us a short "getaway" to celebrate Sabine's 75th birthday, which we did.

Although the trip was only four nights/three days, we did manage to spend one whole day snorkelling on the reef. These photos are of our day on the reef.

The weather played its part with rainclouds disappearing as we arrived in Port Douglas, giving us blue skies and warm weather, and the rain returning as we left Port Douglas to return home.

We enjoyed our few days there and, given that underwater photography is actually quite a challenge (at least to us), we are pleased that some of the photos have turned out well.
